Lorraine (200 RYT)
I started doing yoga back in 1995 with a Jane Fonda VHS tape to keep me sane while living in my mother-in-law's basement with two little boys and husband while our home was being built. Over the years I did yoga at home, in studios and community centers as we moved from Ohio to NJ to Florida and back, combining it with walking, running, biking and hiking. Six years ago I became more committed to practicing yoga regularly and appreciated the deep joy and peace that I didn't get from any other activity. I wanted to find out WHY yoga felt so good, and so I enrolled in Yoga Teacher Training at the Bija Yoga School in downtown Cincinnati. I am RYT-200 certified and have specialized training in Yin/Mindfulness. Slow and gentle yoga has eased the pain of my herniated disk; I also appreciate the introspective aspect of yin yoga so we can, as yogi Rolf Gates says "be calm and still in action, yet vibrantly alive in stillness."
Tian (200 RYT)
My passion for yoga was sparked when I stumbled upon it at the end of a Power 90 workout video more than 10 years ago. Initially, my focus was on the strength I was building, the power that came from holding a strong posture. As I began to explore yoga more, I started to realize the incredible, even more substantial benefits of yoga.
As a single mom of two amazing boys, I’d found a sense of calm, peace and order – along with an incredible workout. I found myself supported physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually by my yoga practice. I started to realize that yoga was leading me down a path of not only physical well-being, but emotional healing, and I knew it was something I wanted to share with others. I learned more in my 200-hour teacher training than I could ever imagine, and am excited to continue my journey as a teacher and a yogi.
I am grateful for my incredible network of family and friends and love spending time with them. In addition to practicing yoga, I also love circuit training, running, CrossFit, and kickboxing. I have a passion for art, music, travel, and baking. I am grateful for, and passionate about life, and enjoy living it to the fullest!
Kayla (200 RYT)
My passion for Yoga began in 2014 when I first moved to Cincinnati. At that time, I had never been to a group fitness class or a yoga class before; heck, I couldn't even touch my toes! I was far from being flexible and I was NEVER into being active. Since I was so new to the area, I had zero friends and a dwindling social life; I knew I had to get involved in something to get myself out of the house. One day I stumbled upon a Groupon which offered a free yoga class. I decided to step out of my comfort zone and take the class, I mean why not, right?
To this day I still remember sitting in my car in the parking lot, thinking about not going to the class, and crying. I was so scared. What if people judged me? What if they looked at me weird? I don't know anything about Yoga! I can't touch my toes! Although taking a yoga class was something that was completely out of my comfort zone, I'm so glad that I went. It was life changing. The moment I stepped into the classroom all my worries went away. I didn't feel judged and I didn't feel like anyone was staring at me. Although I couldn't hold half of the poses, I felt like I was doing everything right and that I was in the right place. It was a wonderful feeling! From that point on, I knew that I wanted to keep yoga in my life forever and show others what I have felt.
You often hear people say "you don't have to be flexible to take a yoga class". Guess what? THEY.ARE.RIGHT. Yoga will transform you mentally and physically, so come start your journey with me! You'll find yourself coming back for more. When I'm not teaching yoga, you can find me on the Lyra Hoop, Silks, or at a group fitness class ( I love to try to new classes now, lol! ) I have a wonderful Fiance, 4 cats (#catlady), and a dog. I'm a morning person, I like to keep myself busy, and I am a clean freak. You can find me listening to Christmas music in April, Oldies, Disney Music, and hits from the 2000s (in the class room too!!).
I'm so grateful to apart of Nina's Studio and I hope we have a chance a meet!

After living a life of constant going and doing, I needed to learn how to slow down and take care of myself due to adrenal fatigue. My physician suggested yoga for me. Being an active person, in the beginning it was hard to settle my mind, body, and spirit. However, after a while I began to realize how much yoga was helping me in these areas and I began to enjoy it more and more. This year I received my 200 YRT with an emphasis on Trauma Sensitive Yoga and Restorative Yoga. My passion is to be able to walk alongside others as they find quietness and rest and a sense of safety so their body is able to find healIng. I look forward to meeting you.

Heather (200 RYT)
I began yoga and meditation about 8 years ago and completed my RYT 200 Teacher Training in 2019.
I have found that I connect with Hatha Yoga and I like to explore meditation in the same sense, exploring dark and light, sun and moon, yin and yang.
Creating classes that are for all levels and that consist of a guided meditation followed by a gentle yoga flow to decompress, destress, and relax is what I really enjoy. I invite my students to just enjoy an opportunity to move their body, breathe deeply and simply feel good.
Guiding people through gentle yoga and meditation as a really great way for them to slow down, connect with their body, and calm their mind is what it’s all about for me.
I am also a big believer in people’s need to reconnect and live as one with nature and so I enjoy using nature imagery, and sounds.
Nature can really support us in settling down, so maybe we’ll begin with a five-minute grounding meditation in nature ..or, maybe we’ll take a mindful garden walk together :)
Katie (500 RYT)
Katie is a certified 500RYT. She started her yoga journey in high school taking Yoga and Pilates classes at her local recreation center, but found her passion for yoga when she started her first training in 2015 at World Peace Yoga in Cincinnati. She was feeling lost after moving to a new city and the company she was working for shut down. Yoga gave her a sense of peace and helped her on a new and exciting spiritual journey. From there, it was down the rabbit hole into life of holistic living. Since then Katie has completed both her foundational and advanced teacher training and has certifications in Thai Yoga Massage and Reiki. She is also studying to be a certified Raindrop Therapy Technician and Ayurvedic Practitioner through Maharishi International University. Katie’s classes are typically Hatha or Vinyasa, but teaches a variety and are accessible to everyone.
Gabriela is a mechanical engineer turned yoga and meditation teacher originally from Caracas, Venezuela. Sports or physical activities never were her thing until her first yoga class. After only one month of regular practice, she noticed all the positive changes in the relationship with her body, mind, and her world, and for that, she has been practicing and studying them non-stop for the last six years. For Gaby, these practices are the perfect balance between strength and flexibility, and a safe space to grow on and off the mat. She believes that yoga and meditation are for everybody and tries to reflect that in her classes, making them a non-judgmental space and adaptable for all levels. Her hope is that you step off the mat feeling refreshed, aligned, and balanced.

Nicole has experience teaching through several nonprofit organizations and yoga studios throughout Cincinnati, and she has completed both foundational and advanced teacher trainings, totaling a 650 hour certification through World Peace Yoga.

“Listen & silence are made of the same letters. And in the silence our souls can speak.”- unknown
When I saw how peaceful yogis were practicing yoga and in meditation, I knew I had to have that in my life. Peace was what my heart was screaming for, I just didn’t know how to find it through all the noise. In 2012 I began practicing yoga watching YouTube videos at home. I found a teacher named Adriene and fell in love with her teachings. Throughout the years I practiced but the healing I needed just wasn’t there. I found a studio called Elemental Om in Montgomery and through the studio enrolled in yoga teacher training. I graduated from Elemental Om in November of 2019 with my 200 RYT and that’s where the real transformation happened. Yoga has given me so much and continues to heal parts of me I didn’t even know needed to be. Through teaching I’ve found a community of like minded people who are all on the same journey as me and that’s to heal and find our peace. I can’t wait to meet and get to know each and everyone of you! See you soon.
